Length and Frequency of Sessions.

How long are the sessions?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes long and wherever possible at the same time every week to ensure continuity. I can offer weekend and evening sessions if required.
CBT is a short-term therapy and 6-12 weeks is the general length of sessions required for a specific problem. The number of sessions required will vary from client to client.
How many sessions?
The number of sessions needed doesn’t have to be agreed beforehand, how many sessions you need is entirely up to you however, a minimum of 6 is recommended for implementing changes.
Sessions are reviewed at regular intervals to check progress towards your goals and ideally, they will come to a natural end either when the goals have been reached or you feel happy with what we have achieved.


Can these be extended?
Therapy sessions can be extended for clients who are addressing more complex problems or deeply ingrained patterns. Therapy sessions can also be changed to fortnightly sessions once the initial progress has been made to support the maintenance of changes.
Booster sessions are also available on request.
Cost of Sessions:
50 minute sessions are charged at £60 per session.
Payment is required on day of session and can be paid either in cash at the session or bank transfer prior to session.
There is a minimum 24 hour cancellation period.
