CBT is a talking psychological therapy that deals with problems that are being experienced in the present. It is based on the concept that our thoughts, feelings and behaviours are interconnected. Negative thoughts and feelings can trap us into a vicious cycle. CBT can help us break our problems down to smaller and more manageable steps and allow us to break free of these cycles.
Awareness is the first step in any change that we make, Light bulb moments can bring about automatic shifts in how we think, feel and behave. From there we will work together towards solutions using evidence-based interventions that have been proven to work and are suited to your individual needs.
We all have the same amazing potential that is sometimes hindered by how we think and feel about ourselves. Sometimes we are unaware of how our behavior’s impact others and can contribute to unhappiness in our relationships. Awareness helps you to take your power back and take responsibility for your own happiness.
Therapy helps to become aware of the things that hold you back, allows you to challenge them and make positive changes. No matter how difficult the circumstances, your life can become easier and relationships better.
With the right support you can get back on the right track towards discovering your true potential.

“I got to a stage in life that I didn’t want to be here anymore. Therapy turned my life around!”
I got to a stage in life that I didn’t want to be here anymore.
Life was very difficult, I had been through a lot and had a childhood history of emotional, physical and sexual abuse. I was living with PTSD.
The abuse I experienced repeated itself throughout my life as I was letting people abuse, bully and physically hurt me. I worked with Lynda throughout part of the lockdown period both face-to- face then on zoom. I learned so much about myself, the patterns of behaviour I had developed as a result of the trauma I had experienced. I managed to see why I allowed myself to be hurt by others and most of all how to help myself. I needed to learn how to love myself and have healthy boundaries in my life.
Therapy turned my life around, the biggest thing for me was the realising that I was enough! I believe Lynda saved my life, I would have missed so much if I had never met Lynda. I am eternally grateful for everything she has taught me and how much happier, and different my life is now.

“I do not have the words to express what she has done for me. Anyone who chooses Lynda as a therapist is incredibly lucky and will never regret it.“
Having had numerous therapists throughout my life there is only one that has helped me beyond words and that is Lynda.
Lynda managed to get through the thick walls I had built up around me throughout my life as a defense barrier and got to the core of my issues.
Her kind, non-judgmental and empathetic way enabled me to feel safe enough to open up and share from my heart.
Therapy turned my life around. I truly cannot praise the work Lynda does enough. She is one of a handful of people that I 100 percent owe my life to.
I do not have the words to express what she has done for me. Anyone who chooses Lynda as a therapist is incredibly lucky and will never regret it. Lynda is truly phenomenal as a therapist and has a beautiful soul. No words will ever describe how grateful I am to and for Lynda.

“Lynda immediately was able to see what I needed to learn about myself and helped me to discover ways
of thinking that have broken cycles I’ve had all my life“
Lynda helped me in ways i did not expect therapy would do, and in a much shorter amount of time than I thought possible. I had previously spent a long time on the internet, reading self help books and researching how to improve my mental health without making much difference. I already knew what a lot of my issues were, but I needed someone to tell me what to actually do about them. I had been through CBT before and was worried that all I would get through more therapy is a deeper understanding of my issues, but no instructions on how to deal with them.
Lynda immediately was able to see what I needed to learn about myself and helped me to discover ways of thinking that have broken cycles I’ve had all my life. Lynda incorporated not only CBT but other methods that really worked for me such as mindfulness. I had done meditation before but did not know how to use techniques such as being present in my body as a way to relieve anxiety.
It has now been 3 months since I have stopped having appointments and I still see the benefits every day, it has made me a much happier person who is more able to deal with situations in life the way I would want myself to behave. I am more self aware, mindful and able to make better choices by using the self soothing and grounding techniques I learned in therapy. Because of this my self confidence and trust in myself is at an all time high!
The room in central Glasgow is comfortable and Lynda’s manner put me completely at ease. Her approach worked extremely well for me. When I arrived to a session feeling anxious or overwhelmed and unable to open up, Lynda would guide me through deep breathing that would calm my nervous system, which was both good for me in the moment but also meant that I was able to get good use out of every session.

“Lynda helped me to understand myself on a whole new level. I left every session feeling so much lighter”
Working with Lynda was, for me, one of the best choices I’ve ever made. I was struggling with anxiety and it was rapidly becoming difficult to manage, taking over my thoughts, mood and actions. Right from our first conversation, she made me feel at ease and comfortable. The combination of her warm approach and CBT methods were more than effective. She helped me become more mindful and gave me a range of tools that I can use daily to manage my anxiety and change my thought processes. Lynda helped me understand myself on a whole new level, which deepened my awareness of why and how I react to things a certain way. She is compassionate, friendly and genuinely cares.
I left every session feeling so much lighter and now have a bank of methods that I can use to maintain a positive outlook and reduce anxiety. I wholeheartedly recommend Lynda!
